Caixaforum Girona Cultural Center

Challenge
The project posed several key challenges. It was essential to distribute high-quality audio uniformly across all areas of the museum, ensuring optimal coverage without interference. Additionally, a centralized, intuitive, and easy-to-use control system was needed for the museum staff, allowing for efficient sound management in each space. Finally, the solution needed to be scalable and flexible, able to adapt to future expansions or modifications of the environment without compromising performance.

Solution
To address these challenges, an integrated system using Ecler products was designed, ensuring precise control of the audio and high-quality playback in every corner of the museum.

Control and Processing
The system includes the WPNETTOUCH wall-mounted touchscreen, which enables simple and efficient sound management through EclerNet's UCP (User Control Panel).
The audio distribution is managed through the Dante™ MIMO7272DN digital audio matrix, which directs sound intelligently to each area of the museum. To reinforce connectivity and ensure stable, uninterrupted transmission, Dante™ DN44BOB digital audio interfaces were installed, fully compatible with EclerNet.

Amplification
To ensure efficient and precise sound distribution, amplifiers from two different series were used. The AURA Series, designed for low-impedance applications, includes AURA-8L150 amplifiers with 8 channels at 150W and AURA-4L150 amplifiers with 4 channels at 150W. The HADA Series, equipped with integrated DSP for advanced control and sound optimization, includes three models: HADA-4B400 with 4 channels at 375W, HADA-4B250 with 4 channels at 250W, and HADA-4B750 with 4 channels at 750W, providing versatile, high-performance amplification.

Speakers
To achieve uniform coverage tailored to each space, speakers from the eMOTUS Series were installed. A total of 16 units of the eMOTUS3OD 3” black model and 32 units of the eMOTUS8OD 8” black model were used, designed to deliver clear and homogeneous sound reproduction. Their black finish allows for discreet integration into the environment, enabling the exhibits to remain the focal point.
To enhance low frequencies, three units of the KICK-SB28 passive subwoofer were installed. This dual 8” speaker model provides 700W of power and can be installed on the floor, in a vertical or horizontal position, adapting to the space's requirements.

Results
The implemented system provides multiple benefits. Sound management is intuitive thanks to the WPNETTOUCH touchscreen and MIMO7272DN matrix, making control easier for the museum staff. To improve the visitor experience, the strategic placement of the speakers ensures uniform coverage, delivering clear and balanced sound throughout the entire museum. Lastly, the integration with EclerNet and Dante™ optimizes connectivity and allows for future expansions without compromising the system's stability.

With this installation, Caixaforum Girona strengthens its commitment to technological innovation, offering visitors an immersive and high-quality audiovisual experience.
