This 400 m² commercial space in Parque das Nações, Lisbon, is the world’s first GROHE showroom built under the brand’s new layout concept — the GROHE Lisbon Experience Center. Ecler was selected to deliver a professional audio solution that would match the high-end design of the showroom, ensuring clear, consistent sound across multiple zones and a discreet integration with the architecture.
System overview
The installed system is a multi-zone audio setup designed to be reliable, scalable, and easy to operate. It adapts to the showroom’s different environments, from open product displays to more private consultation areas.
Speakers
Ecler AUDEO106 surface-mount loudspeakers and IC6 in-ceiling speakers were chosen for their clear sound reproduction, compact design, and ability to deliver uniform coverage. Their discreet aesthetic supports the minimalist interior design without drawing visual attention.
Amplification
The system uses an Ecler eGPA4-150, a 4-channel Class D amplifier known for its silent operation and energy efficiency — essential features in a quiet, premium retail environment.
Control
Central control is managed by the Ecler HUB1408 zone manager, which handles routing, processing, and distribution. With DSP on all inputs and outputs, the system is finely tuned to the acoustic characteristics of each area.
The HUB1408 is controlled via HANGAR, a web-based interface for configuration and remote access. On-site control is provided by wall-mounted eMCONTROL1 panels, giving staff direct access to source selection and volume control per zone.
Audio sources and connectivity
Audio playback is handled by the Ecler PLAYER ONE, which supports scheduled content as well as streaming sources. This offers flexibility for background music, events, or brand presentations.
For wireless inputs, the system includes:
eSAS-BT: A Bluetooth interface installed in the equipment rack for centralized streaming.
WPaBT: A wall-mounted Bluetooth input for local access, allowing quick connection in specific zones.
Conclusion
The GROHE Lisbon Experience Center is a showcase for premium showroom design supported by a technically solid, flexible audio system. Ecler’s solution provides a clear, well-managed sound environment with intuitive control and reliable performance tailored to the space’s specific needs.
