The Salón de Grado or Paraninfo of the University of Deusto in Bilbao is one of those spaces that transpire history and knowledge, and envelop you if you are lucky enough to enter it.
Presiding over its entrance are reproductions of Raphael's 'The Fall on the Way to Calvary' and Murillo's 'The Vision of St. Bernard', and its ceiling is decorated with a celestial planisphere. Located above the foyer of the central building, it hosts the DeustoForum conferences and other important ceremonies, such as the investiture ceremonies of academic posts or the start of the academic year.
Our solution
In a historic hall like this one, the challenge is to achieve an audiovisual installation with clear and dispersed sound in a discreet manner, and simple management of the video signals to carry out events of different characteristics, whether they be lectures, ceremonies or conferences.
Considering the above parameters, the project department proposed an EclerNet Manager system, with a MIMO88SG matrix as the brain of the installation. Two low impedance amplifiers eGPA2-150 and eLPA2-650 are in charge of powering the 2 pairs of Ecler loudspeakers installed in this emblematic hall. Two ARQIS105i loudspeaker cabinets act as reference monitors, supporting the speakers, while two LABI1-C100i columns, with LABI1-WBC wall mounting, are the main loudspeakers.
On the visual side, 4 HDMI over IP signal extender units have been used: 2 VEO-XTI1C units (transmitter) and 2 VEO-XRI1C units (receiver). These devices are responsible for managing the video signal for the presentations, thanks to the versatility they offer.
